Online Therapy & Counseling in New Jersey
Supportive, solution-focused therapy — integrated with psychiatric care, entirely by video. No commute, no waiting room, no referral needed.
Therapy That's Actually Integrated Into Your Care
At Everpath Wellness, therapy isn't something you schedule with a separate person on a separate day. It's woven directly into your psychiatric appointments — which means your prescriber and your counselor are the same person. That integration matters: it produces a more coherent treatment plan, fewer gaps in communication, and care that evolves with you rather than in two parallel silos.
Abimbola uses evidence-based brief therapy approaches — motivational interviewing, solution-focused brief therapy, and psychoeducation — alongside psychiatric medication management when appropriate. The goal isn't endless exploration of the past. It's giving you real tools, real insight, and real momentum.
If you're already working with a long-term therapist and need the psychiatric side covered, that works too. Abimbola collaborates readily with outside providers.
Who Benefits Most From This Approach
Therapy at Everpath Wellness is designed for adults 18+ who want support that's practical, warm, and moving in a clear direction.
Burned-out professionals
High-achievers who have run on empty so long they've forgotten what "okay" feels like. Anxiety is constant; rest doesn't restore. You need a plan, not just coping tips.
Overwhelmed mothers
Carrying everyone else's needs — often at the expense of your own. Whether it's postpartum mood changes, the loneliness of early parenthood, or the burnout of caregiving, this is a space that sees you.
Adults managing anxiety or depression
Persistent worry, low mood, emotional numbness — or all three at once. You've "pushed through" long enough. Integrated therapy and medication management can change the trajectory.
People in major transitions
Job loss, divorce, grief, relocation, identity shifts — life changes that destabilize even resilient people. Short-term, focused support during these windows is often all it takes to regain footing.

Condition-specific pages:
Therapy Approaches Used
Brief Supportive Therapy
Time-limited, goal-focused support to help you process challenges, strengthen coping strategies, and build resilience — without open-ended exploration.
Motivational Interviewing
A collaborative, empathy-driven approach that helps you find your own motivation for change. Particularly effective for ambivalence, habit change, or feeling stuck.
Solution-Focused Brief Therapy
Rather than analyzing every root cause, SFBT identifies what's already working and builds from there — forward-looking, practical, and action-oriented.
Psychoeducation & Lifestyle Integration
Understanding how your nervous system, sleep, nutrition, and movement interact with your mood — so you have tools that work outside the appointment room too.

Your First Appointment
Your first appointment is 45–60 minutes. It's a conversation, not an intake checklist. Abimbola will ask about your full history — what's brought you here, what you've tried before, what's working, what isn't — and she'll actually listen to your answers.
- Share your story No rushed summaries. You'll have space to explain what's really going on, in your own words and at your own pace.
- Review your history Mental health background, any prior therapy or medication, physical health factors, and what you've already tried.
- Discuss your goals What does "better" look like to you? A concrete answer here guides everything.
- Leave with a preliminary plan Whether that's a therapy framework, a medication discussion, or simply a follow-up scheduled — you won't leave with nothing.
Therapy & Counseling — FAQ
Is this actual therapy or just talking about medication?
It is genuine therapy. Abimbola uses brief supportive therapy, motivational interviewing, and solution-focused techniques within each appointment. Because your prescriber and counselor are the same person, therapy and medication are coordinated as one integrated plan — not two separate tracks that never talk to each other.
How is this different from traditional weekly therapy?
Traditional therapy is typically open-ended, weekly, and delivered by a separate therapist. At Everpath Wellness, brief supportive therapy is integrated into psychiatric appointments — goal-focused, practical, and paired with medication management when appropriate. Some patients keep a separate long-term therapist and use Everpath for the psychiatric side. Both arrangements work.
Do I need to take medication to receive therapy here?
No. Medication is always optional and discussed collaboratively. Many patients engage in therapy-focused appointments without starting any medication. If medication is appropriate for your situation, Abimbola will explain the options clearly and without pressure — and the decision is always yours.
How long will I need to come?
Brief supportive therapy is designed to be time-limited. Most patients see meaningful progress within 3 to 6 months of regular appointments. For some, ongoing maintenance makes sense longer-term. There is no fixed contract or minimum commitment — you and Abimbola reassess together as you go.
Can you coordinate with my current therapist?
Yes. With your written consent, Abimbola is glad to communicate with your existing therapist, primary care provider, or any other specialist involved in your care. Coordinated care produces better outcomes, and she welcomes the collaboration.
